Are you planning to apply for an EU project grant and are seeking expert guidance on the process and how to craft a winning proposal?

This interactive and step-by-step EU Proposal Writing Workshop “Applying for EU Project Funding” is for participants at beginner or lower-intermediate level experience with EU grants, and will take place with a limited number of participants for maximum impact.

We will go through the application process step-by-step and you can ask all your questions along the way. By attending this workshop, you’ll acquire essential insights into applying for EU grants, helping you streamline your upcoming application process and save valuable time and effort.

You will see what the different steps in the application process are and what to pay attention to in each of them. Concrete examples from the open Calls for Proposals within the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV) – in particular the Citizens Engagement & Participation Call – will be used. Yet, the same concepts are applicable to other EU programmes which are directly managed by the EU Commission services, too.

At the end of the workshop, you will

  • Know how to start your application in the EU Funding & Tenders Portal
  • Gain clarity how to tailor your proposal content according to what is expected in the technical description of your project in the application template
  • Understand what you need to explain regarding the Relevance, Quality and Impact of your planned project
  • Know how to develop and structure work packages, objectives, activities, milestones and deliverables
  • Have gained confidence for writing your EU grant application

The workshop will be held in an interactive format with the explicit possibility to ask clarification questions. The number of seats will therefore be limited (15 participants).

Hello, I’m Astrid,

Across my professional journey, I have successfully guided organisations and participants in securing funding through tailored advisory services and comprehensive workshops.

With more than 20 years of experience with EU funding programmes and policies, I bring extensive experience with EU proposals from several perspectives: I’ve written successful EU grant applications myself in previous jobs. As a National Contact Point for Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, I advised applicants and beneficiaries. My role as a Project Manager in an EU Executive Agency provided firsthand insights into funding processes and decision-making, including moderating proposal evaluations of thematic experts.

My thorough know-how of EU funding and application strategies equips me to help your project secure the support it needs. With a focus on grants for social inclusion, environmental sustainability and research and innovation, I provide targeted expertise to help you navigate the complexities of EU funding and maximise your project’s impact.
