Are you exploring whether EU funding could support your organisation’s next project – but unsure where to begin?
Kickstart is a compact, self-study course created for professionals who are new to EU funding and aim to get a clear, realistic starting point. Instead of piecing information together on your own, you’ll gain a structured understanding of how EU funding works and what is actually expected from applicants.
You’ll learn how EU funding priorities translate into programmes, how proposals are assessed, and how to align your project idea with the right funding schemes – so you can move forward with direction rather than guesswork.
Whether you work in a nonprofit organisation, a public entity, or another organisation addressing societal challenges, this practice-oriented introduction to EU funding helps you:
By the end of the course, you’ll be better equipped to decide which ideas are worth pursuing, which partnerships make sense, and how to invest your time and energy more effectively as you begin your EU funding journey.
Could my project idea receive EU funding?
What are the basic requirements and how do I check eligibility?
Where can I find open Calls for Proposals?
What does an EU grant application involve?
How does the selection process for EU projects work?
How much effort and planning does a proposal require?

I’ve been working in EU funding and policy for over 20 years, supporting organisations in obtaining grants across various fields – from social inclusion and environmental sustainability to research and innovation.
Through workshops, training, and hands-on proposal writing support, I’ve helped many small and medium-sized entities – including nonprofits, public bodies, and research organisations – to secure EU grants.
This course brings together what I’ve learned over the years in a structured, accessible, and practical way, designed especially for those who are just getting started.
