EU funding and grant writing support

EU funding is in principle open to all organisations in the EU (and, depending on the programme, also open to other countries). This includes NGOs, associations, research institutes, local and regional authorities and companies, just to name a few. Different EU funding programmes exist and they cover various thematic fields. The first step is to determine if your planned project fits into one of the thematic funding programmes and if there are any Calls for Proposals which are currently open for application.

Moreover, there are some financial considerations to be made. In some programmes, it is possible to be awarded a grant with almost no co-financing from your part, in others you need to bring in some more of your own funds (or other funding from non-EU sources).

The funding rules and procedures are complex, which is clearly to the disadvantage of newcomers to EU funding, but not only to newcomers. They generally are an obstacle for smaller organisations and companies as they often do not have enough resources to take care of the various administrative steps involved and sometimes don’t have the relevant know-how to write a convincing project proposal. This is where I would like to offer my support which stems from around 20 years of professional experience with EU policy and funding.
