Applying for CERV Project Funding

From Guesswork to Strategic Success: Write Strong Proposals Aligned with CERV Priorities

Are you preparing a project proposal under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme and aim to ensure your application stands out?

This interactive online workshop is designed for civil society organisations, NGOs and public bodies, with limited experience in EU funding. Using real examples from open Calls (including the currently open EQUAL and Remembrance Calls), we’ll walk through the CERV application process step-by-step.

While the focus is on CERV, the principles and insights shared apply broadly to other EU programmes managed directly by the European Commission as well. Whether you’re applying now or preparing for future opportunities, this session will equip you with practical knowledge you can apply immediately.

The workshop is interactive and limited to 12 participants to ensure space for your questions and individual challenges.

At the end of the workshop, you will know how to:

Stop doubting and get answers on how to prepare your CERV funding application:

How do I connect my project idea with the specific goals and priorities of a CERV Call?

What does a well-structured project plan look like – including work packages, timelines and deliverables?

How can I convincingly demonstrate the impact and sustainability of my project?

What exactly do evaluators look for in each section of the application template – and how can I meet those expectations?

What are proven strategies for writing a compelling, competitive CERV proposal?

Which common mistakes lead to lower scores in the evaluation and how can I avoid them?

Hello, I’m Astrid,

Across my professional journey, I have successfully guided organisations and participants in securing funding through tailored advisory services and comprehensive workshops.

With more than 20 years of experience with EU funding programmes and policies, I bring extensive experience with EU proposals from several perspectives: I’ve written successful EU grant applications myself in previous jobs – for example, when I was working for NGOs in Brussels on activities in the fields social inclusion, employment and solidarity. As a Project Manager in an EU Executive Agency, I gained first-hand experience in the funding process, including moderating proposal evaluation panels of thematic experts.

This broad experience equips me to help your project succeed. With a focus on grants for social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and research and innovation, I offer targeted support to help you navigate EU funding and maximise your project’s impact.
